Born on May 20, 1907, in the small village of Sankt Radegund, Franz Jägerstätter grew up in a close-knit community steeped in Catholic values. Arrested and tried for treason, Franz remained steadfast in his convictions, stating, 'I cannot be a soldier for a government that is waging a war of destruction.' On August 9, 1943, he was executed in Brandenburg an der Havel, leaving behind a legacy of courage and moral integrity that continues to inspire people around the world.
