Their Story
Born on December 12, 1846, in Verolanuova, Brescia, Arcangelo Tadini faced significant challenges early in life. An accident while studying for the priesthood left him with a lame leg, but this physical disability did not deter his spirit or calling. After his ordination in 1870, Tadini dedicated himself to serving the marginalized in society, focusing particularly on the poor and sick. He recognized the need for education and employment for women during the Industrial Revolution, and he founded a religious congregation known as the Worker Sisters of the Holy House of Nazareth.
Tadini's innovative approach to ministry included various parish initiatives and the establishment of a relief fund for the elderly and ill. His compassion and tireless work transformed his community, providing support and hope where it was desperately needed. His life was a testament to the power of perseverance and faith. Despite his physical limitations, he became a beacon of hope, inspiring others to serve and uplift those who were suffering. After his death on May 20, 1912, Tadini's legacy continued to flourish, leading to his beatification in 1999 and canonization in 2009, solidifying his status as a saint who dedicated his life to the service of others.
