Faced with the prospect of an abortion or hysterectomy, Gianna chose to protect her child's life, putting her own health at risk. Despite knowing the potential consequences, her unwavering faith and maternal love led her to prioritize her child's well-being. Tragically, Gianna passed away on April 28, 1962, just days after giving birth to her daughter, Gianna Emanuela.
